We’re Okay Fam: Co-founders Constance Hosannah, and Kate Woloszyn, are more than just business partners; they’re sorority sisters and best friends. While going through some of the lowest points in their lives, Constance and Kate created We’re Okay Fam, a women’s empowerment healing collective which aims to create a safe space for women to share their obstacles and to process trauma, with the intention being supported and supporting the journeys of others through self-love and self-advocacy. They do this at both in person, healing circle pop-up events, and also digitally on their Instagram platform, @wereokayfam. At healing circle events, you can expect to dive into a myriad of social-emotional topics ranging from but not limited to: depression, relationships, motherhood, adaptation, etc. Constance and Kate like to remind women that these events are not meant to mimic therapy; they are sisterhood events, which have been inspired by their friendship. On Instagram, We’re Okay Fam features the voices of women who wish to tell their unique stories. In essence, this group is one which guides women in unapologetically owning their truths.
You can expect to feel uncomfortable at times, as we believe that growth happens when boundaries are safely and tactful explored. At the beginning of each session, either Constance or Kate will share a vulnerable and personal tidbit about their own journeys to get the conversation started. However, you will leave with a better sense of self and a deeper appreciation for other women in the room. Imagine if women everywhere held each other up and reminded each other that they were larger than their circumstances— there is power in community, and there is power in your voice. It is We’re Okay Fam’s hope that we can give you the impetus to start living your best and most fulfilled life.
