Event Title: Six Degrees Society Digital Presents The Art of Sensuous Living: A Guide to Living Rich, Full Lives as Women with Priscilla Karin Rodgers
Most of us spend our lives numb and disconnected from our sensate bodies. When we experience anxiety-ridden times like we are living in now, it is easy to retreat to our head space where we aren't able to truly feel the intensity of our emotions. We forget the magic and wonder and sheer delight of the body we used to have as children, as well as the earthy, gritty pain, darkness and confusion we feel at times. In order to reclaim our bodies we need to learn how to fully inhabit our physical temples, no matter what's going on in our lives, so that instead of living life at arm's length we are pressed up against the bosom of this vast, multifarious, sensual realm that we call life. Your body is your first environment and in this workshop Priscilla will take you on a journey into your body, guiding you through its sensory landscape via meditation, body scan and light movement.
Before we sit down for our programming, each guest will engage in one curated 15 minute connection, handpicked just for them, based on bios submitted pre-event via this form: https://goo.gl/forms/D8Tvyr3ygwPSwaGF2 or email firstname.lastname@example.org with a copy.

About Priscilla Karin Rodgers: Priscilla is an embodiment coach who has created a method to guide women back into living fully, unapologetically and sensuously in their bodies. She works with women one-on-one and in group settings using a form of body-centered meditation she calls a Sensescape.
Priscilla recognized a unifying core between everything she loved in life was the senses. At the same time she desired more women role models in living sensuously, passionately, and freely in today's times. She launched into a personal study as she felt she was embarking on something new or rare. Her study led her to learn about not only the physical senses, but our internal senses and its relation to childhood wounds and trauma. She studied sensorimotor psychology, focusing, embodiment, somatic therapies and more. Eventually she stumbled on a certification at the School of Embodiment Arts where she learned the tools to become a Feminine Embodiment Coach from her teacher Jenna Ward. Priscila leaves no stone unturned and her passion for the topic has sparked a lifelong study into the body, the senses, trauma and what it means to lead an embodied, sensuous lifestyle. She has distilled her work in a method she calls the Art of Sensuous Living and offers in person (DC) and virtual 1-on-1 sessions as well as group workshops.
