About Lara Schmoisman:
Lara was born and raised in Buenos Aires, spending much of her time listening to the radio and watching TV when she was a little girl. Even then, she knew that the world had many possibilities, and she was the type to make things happen. At just 14 years old, she started working at a radio station, learning the ropes. She went to college and earned a BA in radio and TV production. From there, she started out at the bottom of the ladder and climbed upward, first working as an assistant for a beach radio show and then worked as a part-time DJ. Eventually, she moved into television.Life and circumstances took Lara to the United States for six weeks to learn English—she ended up making a life there. With hard work and grit, she moved up that ladder, working in TV and film, film distribution, digital marketing, and advertising. In all of these industries, she picked up different skillsets and tricks. These skills helped her to better understand what people need, how they need it delivered or accomplished, and how to automate systems to provide the best results.
Lara felt fated to create her own agency. Armed with the abilities that she learned along the way, she founded The Darl in 2019. Lara believes in authenticity and designed an environment she calls “ecosystem,” where everything is balanced by teamwork, kindness, creativity, collaboration, and authenticity while staying true to the brand’s unique story. Through this ecosystem, her team is able to approach customers with the same attitude: honoring their stories and their creativity while providing value and results. The Darl is growing quickly because of this focus on staying true to the brand while still innovating and pushing boundaries - all motivated and based on Lara’s desire for excellence and core values.Meanwhile, she built her family and home life—she is married with two teenagers and a dog named Latte, and having balance is important to her. Her family is multiethnic and filled with world travelers. She strives to be the best mom and wife she can be while still putting in the work necessary to change lives. With the best people around her, the right processes in place, and a lot of hard work, she continues to move forward and conquer goals. Whether it is volunteering in her community or completing a project with a tight deadline, she gives everything her all.
